Registered in 1994 we are a local charity established to relieve children and young people (0-18 years) suffering from a progressive or terminal illness by the provision of facilities for family breaks or respite care in the North-East & Cumbria.
Thanks to the generosity of thousands of people, we have been able to purchase and operate a holiday home in the Seahouses area of Northumberland. This half-way house, which opened in March 2006, now provides much needed, free holiday breaks to families with a child/young person suffering from a progressive or terminal illness. Photographs of the house can be seen on the
Holiday Home page.
Owing to its success we are now endeavouring to raise the funds to open a second holiday home somewhere on the West Coast of Cumbria in order to make our service accessible to more families. We need all the help we can get to achieve this aim.
