On Thursday 10th May, three local choirs raised £498 in support of Chin Up!
The three groups- The Dale Singers, The Hadrian Singers and North Tyne Voices- came together in Haltwhistle Holy Cross Church to put on an evening of choral song. Not only did they give their time and their talent, they also donated all the raffle prizes!
Our thanks go to them, their conductors, the many helpers who made the evening run by serving refreshments, and the audience who gave generously afterwards.
Thanks to all those who came to our coffee morning in Haltwhistle on Saturday, we have raised £320 towards our work this year.
Our appreciation must also go to those volunteers who baked, crocheted, ran stalls, sold raffle tickets and took entrance fees. Without them, and the generosity of people patronising our events, Chin Up could not continue.
Our last Coffee Morning of 2017 at Haltwhistle Methodist Church Hall raised £500 for our charity. This will help with the costs of the full refurbishment of Jonathan’s House which is currently in progress. Huge thanks to everyone who came to support us.
Jonathan’s House is to receive a full-scale refurbishment at the end of this year. As a result, it will be closed during December 2017 and January 2018. We regret any disappointment this may cause, but the resultant refreshed accommodation will improve the experience for users.
